Staff is great in every department. This team will go above and beyond to answer questions and meet the customers needs.
Service department is a joke, they performed recall work on my vehicle, and did a piss poor job, which resulted in me almost having an accident, needless to say I took it to George Kell in Newport which fixed the problem, and didn't charge me or Gm due too the fact Central Chevrolet had already charged and took credit for the recall, makes me wish I hadn't even bought my vehicle from them! Oh and don't try to reach anyone in the service dept, they just pass your call from one ext to another, and then your asked to leave a message which does no good, because they won't follow up anyways!
As usual, it was excellent. It had to be broken into two visits because I ended up needing new brakes. The two gentlemen who picked up and dropped off my car (a service I very much appreciate) were very courteous both times. I dealt with Spencer on the phone (never actually came in this time), and he was always cheerful (and I know how hectic that front counter can be), and he also took the time to answer some other questions I had about my car in general that were not related to the work I was having done. I don't know if you have more people working at the front now, but nearly every time I've called recently I've gotten through to a person rather than having to leave a message, which is great. I also want to comment on an unscheduled visit about a month prior. I had a tire that was suddenly extremely low late in the afternoon and brought my car by around 3:30, knowing they closed at 5 to see if they had time to check it out. They said they would look at it, but weren't sure if they had someone who could work on it. I was afraid I would have to replace it, as I've already had to with one because of a nail in the sidewall. It was a nail, but they found time to repair it by closing and didn't charge me, which I really expected to pay some kind of fee, so that's invaluable customer service, which, along with the pick-up and drop-off service, is more than worth the few dollars extra that some of the repair/maintenance services might be over taking my car to another place. Plus the fact that even though I purchased my car at that dealership 12 years ago, they treat it and me like it's a new car, which I really appreciate, as I plan to hang onto my little Vibe for many more years - as long as it remains reliable and doesn't become a money pit.
I purchased a used vehicle (2014 Buick Regal) from Central Chevrolet in October and paid a premium price for the car (the highest price I found after doing a web search covering Memphis, Little Rock, & NW AR) and once I got the vehicle home and cleaned it I discovered 3 different places on the car that had body damage. This was not disclosed to me during the sales/purchase process. I called the salesman to inquire why they had not been brought this to my attention and asked if they wanted to do anything to make it right. They declined and tried to pass it off as being accounted for in the price they quoted me. I reminded them that my family had purchased 4 vehicles from them within the last 3 years and that I was planning on buying a new Cadillac next year. Still nothing. Needless to say I will never be doing business with them again!!!
