Today’s experience at Sumo’s in Jonesboro, AR, is literally THE BEST experience I’ve ever had at a Japanese restaurant!! If you get the chance I highly recommend the cook Mike!! Never have I ever had a waiter light little batons and twirl them at the end of his show or be this entertaining and funny!! It’s a great place for people of all ages, the prices are slightly up there but I promise it’s always been worth it at the grill!!
The food is decent. I just went there today with some family and the service was poor. Our first waitress was very rude, and backed talked. Then, the second waitress we had was nice, but not very attentive. I had to ask several times for the things I needed and it took her a while to bring it to the grill. We sat there for about 30 minutes before the chef came out, and even then, he wasn't attentive. We were probably there for almost 2 & 1/2 hours. The last few times I've been there, the service was not what it could be. Like I said, the food is good, but the service made it not worth what we spent in my opinion.
The interior is really nice. And extremely good service.
Very good food, servers are friendly, pleasant and hip atmosphere. It's not cheap, but few Japanese steakhouses are. Definitely love going though!
I love this restaurant. I way overeat on sushi every time. Excellent flavor and presentation. The rolls are slightly too big for each piece to be bite size, and the sashimi wasn't allowed to reach body temperature. But I will be back
