As I am putting my ring and my paperwork and receipt in my purse the security guard (extra large Paul Blart) walks up and gets smart and says you need to leave. I said "I am leaving, don't you see me getting my stuff together? He said yes I said ok, then that must mean I'm leaving, because I will not recommend this store to any of my friends or family, I have spent almost $5,000 on this wedding ring, not counting all the other jewelry that I have purchased from Kay's and I will not ever return or buy anything else from Kay's again.
Horrible service by the staff and management! Wouldn't repair a ring that was bought there just wanted to sale extended warranty.
Today December 4, 2017, in the evening, I went into the Jonesboro, AR Kay Jewelers in the Turtle Creek Mall.I asked if they could give me an estimate of what my wedding ring was worth that I had bought from Kay's Jewelers about 5 years earlier.
I was told in a very hateful attitude, they did not give estimates. I said, "I was told over the phone that you do." The lady (and that is being nice) got an attitude with me and said we can tell you what we would give you on a trade in. I said "that is fine." She comes over to the counter and looks at my ring and realizes it was bought at Kay's and then proceeds to say "Oh, you bought it at Kay's, then on a trade in we give full refund price." I said yes, that is what I said when I came in and asked for an estimate, that is was bought at Kay's, I also told her that I had all the cleaning records and diamond tightening records from the time my ring was purchased until now along with the original receipt. She then took my ring and my receipt, and walked away without even looking at all the cleaning and diamond tightening records or any of the other paperwork.
She went to the other side of the store and got on her cell phone and was gone for 5 minutes or more and finally I asked her why she took my ring and walked away, and she got an attitude and said she was calling security and so I said why, because all I did was ask why she walked across the store with my ring and got on the phone and she hadn't even looked at my paperwork. Another worker in there said well that is our policy, we have to call our District Manager to get permission to give the estimate. I said so even though she just told me and so did you and it is on your website, that if I am going to upgrade my ring, that you can give me full purchase price towards another ring, that you have to call and get permission and she has to take my ring across the store out of my sight to do so? So she proceeds to threaten to call security and I said call security, and I told her to bring my ring back to me, and she did reluctantly and then she walks out to get security, and my receipt was still missing, and I just happen to see another guy (I don't know who he was) folding my receipt and I told him he needed to bring me my receipt, and finally he did.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

I didn't like: Unprofessional employees, Service, Lazy, Acting like i was a thief.
They have the worst customer service I've ever encountered, the worst ghetto workers, they could hire (no I am not racist), however, when I am treated like I walked in with a stolen ring and they think I can't afford the ring that I brought in with all my paperwork that they refused to look at, then yes I can be a ghetto thug myself.They did not and do not know me or my financial status, and I guarantee you I make more than any of them in there.
