I will be getting a new doctor when this is all sorted.
Just started seeing dr troxel and he is a amazing dr he actually listens to you and gives you the help you need.
I normally take my kids to the Fox Meadow location but recently was sent to this location for my son to be seen for a follow up visit. We were put in an appointment slot and still sat and waited around for 3 hours!
Understanding it’s just a sickly season I stayed patient until they told me my sons labwork wouldn’t be in until Tuesday! Okay fine... so I end up calling the clinic end of day on Tuesday to be told “ooh everything is fine, his stuff came back normal”
Great place! Dr. Troxel has been my PCP for 9+ years, and has always been very professional and understanding to whatever happens to be ailing me at the time. Since joining the Arcare team, he's still the same great doctor. It's simple and easy to call and request an appointment when needed, and usually upon arriving for it, the wait time is never very long. The staff is very nice and super helpful and very knowledgable to help me with any questions that may come up.
So I ask well then what do I do about his issue since he is still crying in pain about it and it’s worsening, to be told “I will put a note in to see what the doctor suggests” ha no... this clinic is screwed up bad. They need a good malpractice lawsuit to wake them up for completely neglecting pateints and their care. I’m sure my son isn’t the only one.
I've been a patient of Troxel's for years. Once his wife started running things at his old office in Walnut Ridge, everything went rapidly downhill. Now, in Jonesboro, if he can't throw a Zpak at it, he's not sure what to do and you, the patient, have to do your own research and then tell him exactly what you need done. However, more times than not, should you need anything other than a prescription for something, you end up having to pull the work yourself. For instance, I've been trying to schedule a specialist for what the hospitalist told me was ASAP to be done. That was about 2 months ago now, and I'm still calling.
Dr. Troxel is a wonderful doctor. There are good days and bad, as with everyone, but always has the patient's best interest at heart. Will talk with patient if warranted. Staff is very nice, but seem to be a bit scattered at times. The only problem I can see does not lay with Dr. Troxel, but some of the specialists he sends patients to, whom have a great deal to be desired. That he cannot or should not be blamed for. I will say, he like some other doctors have gotten in ruts using the same medication to treat certain ailments. Other than that, I have full confidence in Dr.Troxel.
Dr. Troxel is a wonderful, sweet and caring man. But, he is burnt out as a doctor.
