I filed my taxes with Money Co USA on January 23, 2012. I was given my refund amount on a business card with a date of February 3rd. On the 3rd, I was told that there was a delay at the IRS and that my refund would be there by that Monday. Monday I was told that it was coming but still had not arrived at the bank. I went to the IRS website and it stated that my refund was scheduled for Direct Deposit on February 10, 2012 and that if I had not received my refund by February 15, 2012 to call the IRS. On Monday, February 13, 2012, I left a message on the Money Co answering machine letting them know that I still had not received a phone call or a check, I got a call back from Kevin. Kevin stated that the bank that processes the checks had received my funds, but they were unable to send the checks as quickly as they normally do. I was told that the bank would be using FedEx Express Overnight to send the checks to either the Money Co USA office, or to my address. He said that they would call me the next day with the individual tracking numbers, but of course I did not hear back from them. I called the office number as well as the company cell number that Kevin gave me, but both voicemail boxes were full. The next day I called FedEx, but of course they did not have any packages coming to my address. I called the office phone again only to get a message saying that they would call with the tracking numbers and that they would file state taxes and have them sent to the customers by FedEx as well. At this point, I started to get a bit irritated. On Friday, February 17, 2012, I called the corporate office and stayed on hold for 30mins. Then the following day the office number went straight to a message system that gave the hours of operation and said that if you were receiving that message during normal business hours, hang up and call back! I decided to call another location. The only location with a correct phone number, according to the numbers on the Money Co USA website, was Jonesboro. As soon as I told the tax preparer that I filed in Little Rock, he hurriedly told me to call the bank that they use to track my return. I called the bank and sure enough, the automated system told me that my money was there. The following day, Saturday, February 18, 2012, I called the bank again to see if I could get in touch with the bank personnel only to get a recording stating that all tax returns would be FedEx-ed to the customers mailing address and that all questions should be directed to Money Co USA's corporate office and that the Money Co offices were open. Well of course, no answer at corporate and the office was not open. Today, I called Kevin at Money Co USA and finally got an answer. I was told that they still did not have a tracking number for me and that they would call when they received it. I called the IRS and was told that the money was deposited into the tax preparer's account on February 10, 2012. The IRS agent told me to file Form-14157 Complaint: Tax Return Preparer. I will be filing this form as soon as possible.
